- Students will demonstrate the use of science kits (either home made or commercial) to illustrate science concepts.
- Students will be able to explain the difference between optical, scanning probe, and electron microscopes, and illustrate advantages of each.
- Students will be able to use optical, scanning electron, and ion beam microscopes via the Internet and examine and interpret their data
- Students will be able to describe the path of light including reflection, refraction, and absorption.
- Students will be able to describe phenomena around them: blue sky, rainbows, red sunsets, and the Earth's shadow.
