1. Students will be able to design alternative experiments that illustrate scientific concepts that they have studied.
    1. Experiments will demonstrate the concept.
    2. The experiment will be written up in a clear manner.

  2. Students will be able to report the results of their experiments clearly using appropriate language.
    1. Having performed their experiment, students will be able to explain what they did, using appropriate language.
    2. Students will be able to explain why their experiment worked, or did not work.
    3. If a variety of results are obtained students will use a graph or chart to show the range of values.

  3. Students will be able to explain the difference between optical, scanning probe, and electron microscopes, and illustrate advantages of each.

  4. Students will be able to use the Internet and Web-development software to produce a report that includes text and images.

  5. Students will be able to scan images for use in their reports.

  6. Students will be able to find and download files from the Internet.

  7. Students will be able to produce a lesson plan for a hands on science activity.
