- Students will be able to design alternative experiments that illustrate scientific concepts that they have studied.
- Experiments will demonstrate the concept.
- The experiment will be written up in a clear manner.
- Students will be able to report the results of their experiments clearly using appropriate language.
- Having performed their experiment, students will be able to explain what they did, using appropriate language.
- Students will be able to explain why their experiment worked, or did not work.
- If a variety of results are obtained students will use a graph or chart to show the range of values.
- Students will be able to explain the difference between optical, scanning probe, and electron microscopes, and illustrate advantages of each.
- Students will be able to use the Internet and Web-development software to produce a report that includes text and images.
- Students will be able to scan images for use in their reports.
- Students will be able to find and download files from the Internet.
- Students will be able to produce a lesson plan for a hands on science activity.
