What happens when you shine a beam of light on a mirror?

How does the light beam bounce back, or reflect ? Try shining your flashlight on the mirror in your packet. Shine it at different angles and see what happens.

If you hold the mirror at an angle and shine the flashlight on it, does the light bounce back in your eyes?

This is a picture of a laser beam reflecting from a smooth mirror. What do you think would happen if we change the angle at which the laser beam hit the mirror?

Shine your flashlight on the wall. Can you see where the light is shining on the wall? What is happening where the light is hitting the wall?
