If every great institution needs a janitor, then Steve is ACEPT's. From teaching Patterns classes to graphic design to running phone lines through the ceiling, Steve will say yes to anything. Originally hired (he thinks) for helping to develop some of the Patterns in Nature modules, Steve has expanded his multi-tasking abilities to teaching some of the modules and being overall "helper-person" for the Patterns class. He is now deeply involved in developing Patterns modules for the ACEPT WWW site, a project he has tackled with typical fortitude and innocence. His loss of innocence is imminent, if not already history.
Originating from Chicago and Washington, D.C., Steve entered the
graduate program in physics at ASU in 1991. He studied
astrophysics for 3 years and received a Masters degree in 1994,
much to his surprise. In April of 1995, Steve was hired on to
the ACEPT project and has enjoyed its grand ideals, wonderful
people, and larger paychecks ever since. Hopefully, Steve will
continue to work in the burgeoning field of education and technology, a
subject close to his heart, and further expand his janitorial
duties, of which, writing this little shpiel was one.
