The Multi-Media Chemistry Workshop led by ASU Chemist Jim Birk met for a month during the summer of 1998 to learn inquiry-oriented teaching. The Workshop also involved learning advanced Power Point multi-media techniques and effective ways of integrating this technology into introductory chemistry classrooms. Faculty from nearly all of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges and ASU participated. After mastering use of Power Point, the faculty designed and created a chemistry module that could be used in his/her classroom.
